Google created its first smart TV platform, Google TV in October 2010. Its co-developers included Intel, Sony and Logitech. Their first generation had x86 architecture processors and their second generation consisted of ARM architecture processors. Smart TV’s are limited and cannot be compared with regular Android devices when it comes to their capabilities .Therefore, this smart TV platform was later succeeded by Google’s Android TV in June 2014.
